Lima

Wake up in the morning, go to a good brunch restaurants or coffee shop near where you are staying and then take an Uber and go to the Historic Center of Lima to walk around it. Visit the Main Square. Walk in many streets during the day
at the center of Lima with many locals and tourist, visiting the Monument of San Martin in San Martin Square, the Cathedral Basilica of Lima, Basilica and Convent of San Francisco, Government Palace, and many museums.

Spend part of your day in one of the best activities in Lima in a Paragliding tour in Miraflores district, near Larcomar Shopping Center. In this tour you have the privilege to see all the incredible view of the city and the sea the tour
cost around $85 USD and is an experience you going to enjoy a lot.

In the district of Miraflores it is located a historic place between many buildings named Huaca Pucllana. It was built for many adobe bricks and are ruins of a Pre- Inca civilization. This place are continuing to be discover many things
of the civilization that been there.

One of the top tours and for me, the best one you can take from Lima is the Ballestas and Huacachina Oasis Day Trip. This is in the region of Ica. This tour consist in waking up around 4:30 a.m. to take a Bus where take you to Paracas, a
town in the region of Ica in Peru. When arrived you’re going to see many kiosk and restaurants in the town. In the town you take a boat with many others and they take you to Ballestas Island. In these Islands its inhabitants are penguins
and many sea lions. During the ride you can see Nazca Lines too.

After this great tour, the bus continues the ride to the Huacachina Desert when you can see a beautiful natural Oasis and a town around it. The town have many Hotels, restaurants, tours agencies, kiosk, and trips inside the oasis. The best
part of this trip is when is your time to get in a boogie with many others and a driver and take you inside the desert riding in the sand mountains like a roller coasters.

The ride have like 3 stops in different spots to throw you in a sand mountain with a sandboard. The last stop is the best view of the Oasis.

I take this tour with Peru Hop, an agency that you can buy it online or in the office in Miraflores and cost me $125 USD. This is a complete day trip because you return to Lima around mid-night because from the Oasis to the center of Lima
is almost 4 hours of ride. You can choose the option to spend one or more days in the Oasis if you don’t want to leave the same day.

The Peruvian cuisine is delicious, you can taste more than 40 typical dishes in it. When I went to different restaurants in the three days that I have been in Lima and I like everything I ate. The cost of the food is cheap compare to many
other countries. If you go to a restaurant or a kiosk you can find in both accessible prices. 

The image at the side is a Chaufa Rice with roast chicken and fries potatoes. This delicious dish I ate in Rustica Restaurant, located in Calle de las Pizza (Pizzas Streets). The Chaufa Rice consist in Peruvian fried rice, a mixed of Chinese
cuisine with vegetables, onions, eggs and chicken. The roast chicken is grilled and you can taste with great sauces. I recommend this place to eat well and then continue the nightlife in Lima with many places in the same streets in good
spots. 

Pardos Chicken is a Restaurant located in Larcomar, a shopping Center in the district of Miraflores, Lima where the particularity is that is an outdoor mall. It also have some good restaurants including this one, Pardos Chicken Larcomar.
It is recognized by his great grilled chicken and when I went they start giving you an open famous cocktail named Pisco Sour. This drink is typical from Peru. In the picture the drink in it is the most famous in Peru named Cusqueña.
This restaurant are visited for many people during the day, some days you have to wait to be seated some minutes. I recommend if you visit Larcomar one of the stop if you are hungry is this restaurant. 

If you are in Lima and you love beers the Barranco Beer Company is a restaurant brewery that you can’t missed. This brewery is locate in Barranco, a district of Lima. You can take an Uber in to get there for a cheap price because Uber
in Lima is not expensive. In this restaurant you can taste many styles of beers with many flavors. You can taste these great beers with a typical dish of Peru. It have a long menu with many dishes. Beers that you can taste are drafts,
temporary and also drink cocktails. 

Other places that I went it was Huaringas Bars. Is a restaurant with bar and is the first place that I ate typical food named Lomo Saltado. Peru have many incredible dishes too like “Aji de Gallina”, Alpacas, Ceviche and Cuy. If you
stay in Miraflores that is the best district to stay in Lima, take to the Pizzas streets and you can taste many good restaurants and the other area is in ” El Malecon” of Miraflores. 

Peru is one of the countries that you can stay in great places doesn’t matter if is a Hostel, Hotel or Airbnb. I try Hostel and Airbnb in my trip in Lima. I went to an Airbnb entire place in Miraflores in Pardos street around $35 USD the
night. This Airbnb have private entrance and with guards. I found very secure the district of Miraflores, I walk during mid-nights and late at the streets and never feel bad. The Hostel that I chose was Kokopelli party Hostel. I stay
in a room with 3 bunkbeds. This hostel was great because every bed have a curtain that if someone turn on the lights you don’t realize. There are many normal and party hostels in Lima. I chose the hostel in the app Hostelworld. In the
app you can see photos of the hostel, all the reviews and the prices by night. The Hostel prices are around $8 to $20 USD for a night if you choose a room with 6 to 10 beds.
