Things To Do
San Martin Bridge
Is a Medieval bridge that connect the old town to the west of the city. The bridge is across the Tagus River. It has a incredible view of the river and the landscape of the town.
Zocodover Town Square
Is a main square of the town where many tourist and locals walk, seat, spend time everyday. It has some restaurant around and you can eat outside in table in the square.
Alcázar de Toledo
Is a stone fortification in the highest part of the town. Is one of the largest buildings in the city. It was used as jail, military headquarters before the creation of the Infantry Academy that you can see in the front of the square of
the building. Inside the building you can find the Military Museum of the history of Spain. The entrance cost 5 Euros.
The Primate Cathedral of Saint Mary of Toledo
Is a Roman Catholic Church constructed in the 13th-century. The church has a Gothic style architecture.
El Greco Museum
Is a museum that honors the master painter El Greco who live many years in Toledo. This museum shows his pieces and 16th & 17th century artworks.
The Manchego Cheese Museum
It is located near the Cathedral of Toledo. This Museum was create to explain the history and the elaboration of Manchego Cheese. It has tasting room that I recommend to take a seat and taste manchego cheese and drink a delicious wine
from La Mancha. The concept is to get a wine and they going to give you samples of Manchego Cheese. Is a great place and the employees that assist you are incredible. If you are a wine lover and/or you like to taste some manchego cheese,
this place is for you.
San Juan de los Reyes Monastery
Is a monastery built from 1477 to commemorate the birth of the sons of the Kings of that moment and the Battle of Toro. It has a Gothic style architecture.
Consuegra Windmills
The famous windmills that been described in Cervantes Don Quixote novel. There are 12 tower windmills that each one has a unique name taken from the novel, and in the back you can see a medieval castle. This place is far from the historic
site of Toledo, like more than 30 minutes.
